Sent this letter to the admin of a forum I belong to, pleae delete any letter coming from the admin team and run anti-virus software.
Hi,
I think the same virus has has just contacted me through your website forum e-mail list. I think that means everyone on my whiskyroom forum will also of been contacted as well so my site may also go down!! These people are the scum of the internet community.
The other thing in the e-mail was a zip attachment, tell everyone on your site getting letter like the one here except with your site details on to delete immediately.
It read:
Dear Whiskyroom Member,
We have temporarily suspended your email account johnny@whiskyroom.co.uk.
This might be due to either of the following reasons:
1. A recent change in your personal information (i.e. change of address).
2. Submiting invalid information during the initial sign up process.
3. An innability to accurately verify your selected option of subscription due to an internal error within our processors.
See the details to reactivate your Whiskyroom account.
Sincerely,The Whiskyroom Support Team
As I am the whiskyroom administrator I know i didn't send the letter so it's part of the virus using the details of members to spread the virus. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/Let-the-drink-talk-675586225966432/ |

Had 2 more posts that contained viruses that said they were from the Whisky Room management. The only letter members usually get is a welcome letter and if you have any problems or are not sure open the letter in outlok using the following method:
right click post
then click properties
click details
click message source
this way you can read the letter without opening it and it says whether is contains viruses etc if you have AVG and probably other anti-virus software |
