FETTERCAIRN 1824
12 year
40%
No-where as good as the ten year old, rubbery and old socks in nose and flavour, and a slightly harsh aftertaste.
4.5/5 |
Rubbery and old socks - must keep clear of that one |
Stamp glue is another term I use quite frequently and UHU glue, it's purely personal sense of smell, but for some reason I smell or taste these characterisitcs and it's off putting, BUT fish heads, diesel oil, TCP and germoline and i'm happy |
i still have a bottle of 'old fettercairn 10 yo' with 2 measures, i have just had a sniff and cannot smell rubber, socks, or any nasties.
think i will hang on to it until i get a bottle of the 1824 and do a taste comparison |
Good idea, the 10 year old is really nice. Hopefully I will find another to put in the cupboard. Why do these companies feel compelled to change the whisky, fair enough change your bottle designs if you must but leave decent whisky alone. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/Let-the-drink-talk-675586225966432/ |
