Dow`s Crusted Port 1999
In effect a non vintage, vintage - if that makes sense. A blend of a number of different years, the wine itself is produced like a vintage port, spending 2 years in cask and bottled without filtration. Carefully decant from its sediment (or crust) before serving.

TASTING NOTE
"On the nose hallmark Dow with fresh blackcurrant scents and bundles of ric intense fruit, and an elegant and powerful streak of acidity and plenty of ripe, firm tannins. The wine still has a long way to go." Peter Symington
