Who likes Lynch movies?
Do you understand anything?
I like it very much but as Art, that makes you feel something, not as an inteligible picture most times...

Very interesting point of view.
I believe that David is a bit antifeminist. Female characters could be wicked and terrible (the killer girl in Nueva Orleans in "Wild at Heart") or disturbed (Blue Velvet singer, Lula's mother in "Wild at Heart", Laura Palmer) or simply good but simple (like Laura Dern in most cases).
What is clear, the girl in David movies get the male character in troubles: the little boy that have sex with the mafia boss in "Lost Highway", the little detective in Blue Velvet and the singer...

But Lynch movies are almost PERFECT...

"A straight story" is, as its name shows us, a different way of making movies. It is straight, you will understand everything. This film was the way David used to show that he could make everything he wants with a camera.
