‘Children of the Stones’ tells the story of astrophysicist Adam Brake and his son Matthew, who arrive in the village of Milbury in order to study the ancient stone circle that surrounds it. However, they soon learn that all is not as it should be in the peaceful village, as they uncover a sinister secret that links the stone circle with a black hole in space and an ancient and overwhelming power…

I've visited the stones at Avebury, Wiltshire, near Stonehenge. I always remember that no-one can escape a force field surrounding the village. Reminded me slightly of The Midwich Cuckcoo (Children of the Damned) in its location and village setting.
