InBev is looking to launch two new beers in its home market, according to local reports.
The Belgium-based brewing giant will release Leffe 9 degrees and Light Jupiler in an attempt to stem the declining consumption in the Belgian market, Le Soir said late last week.
The Leffe is considered a ‘strong’ beer while the Jupiler is considered a ‘light’, with only 3.2 degrees alcohol compared with the regular 5.2 degrees.
“We have many innovations in the cupboard for 2006,” an Inbev spokesperson was cited as saying in the report.
No-one was available for comment at InBev Belgium when contacted by just-drinks today (13 February).
