This was the malt offered after the distillery tour.

Matured in bourbon casks, then for periods unto 6 months in Spanish Oloroso cask and Pedro Ximenez cask, this whisky is a deam golden red.

Nose:
Sweet, raisins, nutmeg, plums.

Palate: Fruit. nutty with hints of spice and citrus. A toffe popcorn sweetness adds to the overall complexity, moreish.

Finish: Clean, not over sweet with some fruit with a long lasting oaky sweetness.

i have to say its not what i was expection, i am not a lover of triple distilled whisky but this is class in a glass

No age statmen but at least 9 years old, it sits for upto 6 months in the sherry cask depending on the cask quality and could only spen 3 months so age would be different for each bottling

i would give it 8/10

Good shout Talisker25.
Ive always had a soft spot for Auchentoshan. The three wood is most complex and it is nice as you say to find a triple distilled whisky with such body
