I've had 3 or 4 editions of this book now and it still stands head and shoulders above all the rest. Just enough information to let you know everything you want about a particular whisky. I don't always agree with his reviews but I can always see were he's coming from. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/Let-the-drink-talk-675586225966432/ |

i have 1,2 and 3 but not 4, the book has come a long long way since the first edition, i have read and enjoyed many other whisky authors, their is one but can't remember the name who wrote a book on whisky and reviewed the distillery and facilities as well which was useful but MJ sets the standard and i always come back to him.
i agree with you not to always agree with his tastings, however, he has been tasting lots of whisky for lots of years and his palate may be so well developed that he can taste things that we can't.
either way it it is an excellent book and will always be my reference _________________ i've been on a whisky diet, i've lost 3 days already

I sometimes mix a double with a single, but never a quadruple with tripple, that would just be silly |
