BBC2 Scotland (Sky Channel 990) are showing a half hour programme tonight (15/01/2008) called "The Whisky Dream"
It's a look at the Bruichladdich distillery, & it's recent revival.

Not a bad little programme. Not sure why the whisky was called Port Charlotte as only stored there but I suppose it is just the name rather than the place of distillation.

Port Charlotte - the new heavily peated Islay single malt - ran down the line on Monday 23rd October. First distilled in May 2001, the 5 year old whisky |

I had a bottle of the old Bruichladdich from over 10 years ago and it was lovely and very soft on the palate while the new whisky they market as peaty so I wonder if they've changed the whisky recipe? _________________ https://www.facebook.com/Let-the-drink-talk-675586225966432/ |
