Had an email today from the Whyte and Mackay team and the office of Richard Paterson to post all the informataion below. Good luck to them, looks like some lovely whiskies anyone I'd be happy to sample, hint, hint
WHYTE & MACKAY LAUNCHES WEBSITE DEDICATED TO RARE AND PRESTIGE COLLECTION
Rare and Prestige, the finest ever collection of whiskies, has launched
its first website to bring the collection of seven individual whiskies
to the digital audience.
Whyte and Mackay launched the Rare and Prestige website
www.rareandprestige.co.uk following increased demand for greater
knowledge of the rare liquids.
The site has five main sections: The Collection, Availability, Whisky
Journal, Whisky and More and the Newsletter. The website is presented
by Whyte and Mackay's master blender Richard Paterson in his own unique
style designed to educate even the most novice of whisky drinkers on the
eclectic world of Rare and Prestige whiskies and the whisky world at
large.
The website is dedicated to allowing the viewer to share Paterson's
professional and personal passion through his knowledge of the Dalmore
50 year old 'sleeping beauty, Isle of Jura 40 '1966 and all that',
'Whyte and Mackay Original 40 'what memories are made of', Dalmore 1973
'vintage stuff', Dalmore 40 'the alchemy of good stuff', Dalmore 1974
'aging beautifully' and Jura 1974 'the light fantastic'.
The individual history of each whisky provides a valuable overview to
the collection. A key feature of the site is Paterson's tasting notes
which will have readers drooling over the host of distinctive tastes
that create the well defined sensory explosion of each Rare and Prestige
whisky.
Richard's Whisky Journal is a regularly updated blog by master blender
Richard Paterson and gives key advice on the current whisky market and
an exciting insight into the world Paterson inhabits.
The Whisky and More section of the site provides hints and tips on how
to enjoy your whisky, how to taste and how to appreciate each whisky.
The controversial subsection Whisky with what? goes against some
traditional teachings and shows that whisky can be enjoyed with
chocolate and coffee to make the experience more special.
Richard Paterson said: "This exceptional collection of seven utterly
individual whiskies can never be repeated. They are liquid works of art.
I have dedicated a great deal of passion into creating the collection
and the new Rare and Prestige website means I can share the delights of
such great whiskies with a wide audience." _________________ https://www.facebook.com/Let-the-drink-talk-675586225966432/ |
