Excellent, my trip last month was a quiet affair except for a few bars so I hope you get to as many distilleries as possible and make me really jealous Sad Laughing Laughing

I'm the driver and Mrs T will just make sure i go in the right direction.

One year when we went to Skye, I made the mistake of going to the Gaelic Whisky Company on the way to the hotel, I sampled far to many whiskies before buying. Mrs T does not drive i have to add. I was in such a jolly mood that we went to Talisker Distillery as well. Yes, I know it was stupid but my intention was to buy not to sample. I will certainly not be making that error again and will stick to the 'samples' at the hotel, at last count, 127 (that was last year so plenty to go at.

Wish I could remember the pub we went to that was near Talisker distillery, I believe it looked into a loch and there was a church there and not much else. This is the pub that is ran by the sister of someone from a folk band called the Peatbog Faeries, you'll know if your there as they have there CD's for sale behind the bar.

Talisker distillery in in a region of Skye called Carbost, the distillery overlooks Loch Harport and the hotel you mean could be the Taigh Ailean Hotel, link below.
