Lia Fail (4.7% ABV)

THE INVERALMOND BREWERY LIMITED, Inveralmond Way, Perth PH1 3UQ Scotland
TEL/FAX: +44(0)1738 449448

Lia Fail, Gaelic for Stone of Destiny, is a dark, robust, full bodied beer with a deep malty taste, smooth texture and hoppy aroma.
In 1296, against the wishes of the Scots, the Stone was taken by Edward I to England. Now rightfully returned (1996) it can be found in Edinburgh Castle, although many believe the stone never left Scotland, and that the real Lia Fail is in a secret hiding place, somewhere in Scotland.

A lovely dark beer one of my favourites anytime and occasionally availble in Weatherspoons down south as well.

Lovely beer and I did try it at Weatherspoons wouldn't you know. I've been to Perth a few times to watch St. Johnstone play and there's some really good pubs there.

Lovely drink. Old Mill Brewery Bitter tonight as at The Mission, Postergate in Hull, but hopefully a chance to try another bar with a bigger range as well. Though maybe only on a couple of halves as need to keep sober with the new baby in the house :D
