I had to go commando for this distillery as not in Fort William for long and they wouldn't stay open for me, even though they sent me a free bottle of whisky years ago for an article I wrote with them in in the Whisky Magazine. Got a taxi at 7.30 am and photographed the inside in the first glimpses of the daylight, got to go in some of the building, the worked looked a little like they'd seen it all before. The taxi driver said he did this often!

You know those pictures that are slightly doctored, well Ben Nevis disitlery is near a major road which you don't see on their publicity shots. Not the pretiest of disitlleries but Fort William is worth a visit, some great pubs and Ben nevis for sale in most of them.

Visited the remains of Glenlochy while there as well which by now will be fully rebuilt as a hotel.
