An excellent distillery if a little hard to find. Great tour, very friendly people, amazing array of bourbon cask to see that will one day contain whisky. A lovely looking celler of whisky ageing including one from the Queens Coronation but the woman showing us around said she'll have to pay for a dram. If you have to visit only one distillery this is one of my new favourites.

Anyone who's gone there recently will realise that its now on an industrial estate surrounded by Highland Spring water and Baxter soup or some such, but here's apic from before with the beginnings of the industrial estate in the background.

Talk about a dram fine comeback

JOHN BLACK, manager of the Tullibardine Distillery, is giving a talk about the re-birth of the distillery at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society tomorrow night.

The distillery was re-launched 18 months ago by co-directors Doug Ross, above, and Mike Beamish. The talk is being held at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's headquarters, Giles Street, Leith.
