If you aren't expecting this film during a whole year (12 months, 365 days and 365 nights) hoping to see another part of that incredible saga that Romero started in 1968 you couldn't imagine how I feel when I came out from the cinema... I feel myself a bit betrayed. Ok, it's a good action film, but it's not in the same way of the precedent films. The best: Manolete, the "torero", the matador. _________________ http://zombi-blogia.blogspot.com/ |

Yes, but WHAT FIVE MINUTES!! |
As a veggie I must admit it was good to see the bullfighter get his comeuppance but in zombie infested dead futures I think bloodsports will be the least of my worries Though I'd love to go a hunting zombies like in Dawn of the Dead when the red necks are out shooting at them over the hill The good thing about Dawn of the Dead, Day of The Triffids, 28 Days later is that it's a very black and white scenario, you know who the bad guys are, and you blow them away or run as fast as you can. In Invasion of the Body Snatchers it's harder as in The Thing to know who is on your side or not, so the paranoia scenario gives it an added edge. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/Let-the-drink-talk-675586225966432/ |

This hilarious moment (the head rolling to bite Manolete) created a great polemic between zombie fans (it's very funny): who is posible that a zombie could walk with the head in such way? No spinal cord, no walk. But some others fans said that the spinal cord could not be completely destroyed...
I hate toreros. It's an horrible spanish tradition. So I was pleased when Manolete dies (but, it was so funny when appears through the door and says: "Manolete", everybody in Spain burst in laughs at the cinema, because Manolete was a famous torero in the 60's and was dead during a bullfight). I love him and hate him.
About hunting teams in survival horror movies: oh, that is impresive, always amazing. Have you seen "The dead next door"? There is a policeman called Raimi (remembering Sam Raimi) and he and his fellowers ("Zombie Squad") make a couple of interesting zombie huntings...

This film, the dead next door, is very original. Now, specially since some very good zombie films like "Shaun of the dead" (one of the best ever made) were releashed, things like "zombie rights" and others like that seem nothing new, but you have to see this film considering the year of production, 1988).
And the movie has a couple of surprises to the addicts to these kind of films... _________________ http://zombi-blogia.blogspot.com/ |

I liked this film but it's definitely no-where in the same ball park as the originals, but i still hope he gets to do the further adventures of the survivors :D |
