Anyone who has tried Black Bottle will say how wonderfully warming this blend is. A definite king of the blends, nothing quite warms you up like a dram of Black Bottle. The bottle it self is designed in the shape of a pot still.

hello greengretnaz
yes, i have to agree, you can keep bells and grouse, and although i dont go in for blends much, BB is one i would not put to one side, the high islay malt content give the illusion of a top class blend _________________ i've been on a whisky diet, i've lost 3 days already

The father-in-law lives in Scotland and he says that it's the blend that's most loved up there by people who know something about whisky.
Have you ever tried BNJ?
B.N.J 40%
Light to medium raisiny nose, slightly oily & peaty whisky.
Finish: Oily, peppery, slightly hot finish, probably due to peatiness. |

Can you remember where you found the quote "The Mickey Grouse Experience", love to send that to the in-laws.
Blair Athol, Aberfeldy they all now seem to go by which ever blended brand the marketers need to highlight. I think with Glenturret in the advert in the Whisky Magazine it says Famous Grouse, and in small letters home of Glenturret!! This may just be how i see it; no magazine handy to look at the adverts/ distilleries at the back. |
