Yesterday I went for a walk in the city center looking for a Xmas gift for my girlfriend. After found it (an excellent handbag, by the way), I can't avoid going to check out one of my favorites shops: an imported DVD shop. Always I have to runaway in a few minutes. If I stay a bit more I would have to give them my credit card forever and ever... :D
Well, I can tell us here what I have found there at reach of my hand... Only one thing: The Day Of The Triffids (1981). Ah! 30 €. MMmmmmm... I was so close to buy it... But I was strong enough to put the DVD again in the rack and get out of there inmediatly...
Could I avoid go there this afternoon? Confused Confused Confused

Yes, The BBC six episodes of 25 minutes in one DVD (150 minutes, more or less).

I want this DVD, but 30 € is so expensive...

I have found it in Amazon.co.uk, and costs (without shipping cost) £ 12,99. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/dvd/B0006GVKE8/tech-info/ref=ed_tec_dp/202-9827440-3234254
I don't know what is better: buy it at 30 € at the shop or wait it from Amazon...

Well...
I was thinking a bit, it's better by Amazon.

I got it from Amazon as well. I couldn't quite tell what was wrong with this posting and then it finally struck me it's Day of the Triffids Laughing Laughing

This is the ultimate version, slightly dated, but still up there with 28 days later, Omega Man, zombie movies etc. in the world ending start again genre.

I believe that I liked so much this genre because I would probably like that this occurs... I have to check out my mind.... Laughing Laughing Laughing
You needn't to go to work...

But there isn't a web, or new movies, new books, it would be difficult to have a beer or a shoot of whisky...

Crying or Very sad

But if only a few of us left, there would be 100's of years of supply left of whisky and spirits but would have to start brewing for fresh beer Laughing I've spent far too much time working this out Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
