Finally!! After 7 straight midnights in a row at work I get to celibrate the New Year! w00t!!!! :D :D

Highland Park - 32 years old
D&M Aficionados' Club Bottling

Distilled 06/1973
Matured in Sherrywood
43% Alc./Vol.

Color:
Pale Gold

Nose:
Vanilla, dry, and salty

Palate:
Salty then sweet malty vanilla, some peat and very smooth. Quite complexed.

Finnish:
Sherry tones come though in the finnish. Dry with a medium length.


What a wonderful Highland Park!! Easily a 90~95

I will really have to try to get into Highland Park sometime. In theory it's a whisky I should like, being a big fan of Isay, Islands, & anything coastal!! I had a bottle of the standard 12 yr old I think it is, (can't remember the age statement without getting up & looking in a book, & I'm far too lazy on a Saturday afternoon to do that!! Laughing Laughing ) & found it unremarkable. That was however just about the time I was starting out on my whisky experience, & bigger flavoured drinks like Ardbeg where jumping out at me more, so I will maybe appreciate it a bit more now!
